when the people willingly offer themselves—
praise the Lord!” (5:2)

so did Naphtali on the terraced fields.” (5:18)

By Pastor Glem Melo

36704642_10156258098051211_9021588846881538048_nThe Lord blessed the humble launching of the youth ministry of Park Community Church at North Rogers Park.  Just a handful came, but it we all had fun, shared God’s word, and prayed together.

Please pray:

  1. For more youth to attend and be discipled through the new ministry
  2. For Bible studies to be established in key high schools in Rogers Park

Assyrian Neighbors

IMG_0012By Pastor Glem Melo

I saw our Assyrian neighbor Edi Toma walking and went out to join him. He is from Iraq and speaks very little English. He is 90+ years old and a retired priest of the Assyrian Church. I prayed for him at the end of our walk. Now, I am praying for our next walk and how I can minister to him. I also want to know more about his family.

Please help me pray for Edi and his loved ones.

May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.
May the nations be glad and sing for joy,
for you rule the peoples with equity
and guide the nations of the earth.
May the peoples praise you, God;
may all the peoples praise you.
Psalm 67:3-5

International Friends

Screen Shot 2018-06-13 at 11.35.07 AMBy Pastor Glem Melo

Yesterday, we had a great time making international friends at New Field Elementary School in Northside Chicago, where we live.

Please help us pray that God would bless and save individuals and families among the 35,000 people from India, Pakistan, Afghanistan,
Myanmar, Syria, Burma, etc. who are living in this area.

Screen Shot 2018-06-13 at 11.35.48 AMJesus told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations…” (Luke 24:46-47)

New Nepalese Friends

IMG_8982By Pastor Glem Melo

Last Sunday, we met Krishna and Apsara for the first time.  Today, we had a great time walking, chatting, and praying with them in the park.

Please help us pray for our dear Nepalese brother and sister in Christ.  May the Lord bless, keep, and use them for His kingdom and glory.

This is Your Jesus

By Pastor Glem Melo

DT407According to Mark 1:21-39,
Jesus is our Teacher, Liberator, and Healer.

This is your Jesus.
This is the Jesus of your family.
This is the Jesus of your city.
Know and believe:
He wants to heal and set you free.
And He will.

Christ heals through His word.
Saturate yourself and your family
with His word.
Christ_Healing_the_Sick,_1813,_by_Washington_Allston_(1779-1843)_-_Worcester_Art_Museum_-_IMG_7700How are you saturating
yourself and your family
with Christ’s word?
If not much or not at all,
then that is the problem.
Recommit yourself to God’s word.
Let us be busy with the word of God.

Let us continue to meet new people,
share Christ to them,
and pray that
He will teach, heal, and set them free
from all the works of the enemy.
The Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit
are always working…
