Gospel and Medicine for Haiyan Victims-Survivors

1By Pastor Glem Melo

DSCN9707On the first week of March, Open Eyes Mission sent trainees-partners Ernnel Tacandong and Brian Ranalan to visit and minister to two (2) churches in supertyphoon-devasted Leyte. The pastors and church members there were fed with God’s word, comforted and encouraged through the visit and the conversations, and a supply of much-needed medicine was provided for both congregations.

Lord willing, I plan to personally visit and minister to our brothers and sisters there in a couple of weeks. That will be my 3rd Haiyan/Yolanda mission trip.

Please continue to pray for our precious Christian brothers and sisters in Leyte as they continue to suffer and struggle in the aftermath of supertyphoon.

“Graciously preserve and govern Your Christian churches throughout the world in the unity of the true faith and in godliness of life, that Your kingdom may come day by day. Destroy the kingdom of Satan until the perfection of Your kingdom arrive when You shall be all in all.” – from A Prayer for All the Needs of Christendom

About Glem Melo

I am a believer and follower of Christ, married, and have 3 wonderful kids. I am the founder and President of Open Eyes Mission (ministering as New Hope Global in the U.S.); a church planter among Muslims, Hindus, and other unreached people groups in the U.S.; and studying Doctor of Ministry at Trinity International University / Trinity Evangelical Divinity School. The Bible teaches that God is real, man is sinful, hell is real, and Jesus is our only hope of salvation. I believe these truths with all of my heart, and I hope to help others learn of them as well. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) May God give you grace and peace.
