Haiyan/Yolanda Mission to Pastrana, Leyte

2 (640x480)By Pastor Glem Melo

From La Paz (Leyte), we took a 1-hour motorcycle ride to the town of Pastrana. We gave hygiene kits and ministered to the members of Independent Christ Baptist Church. Just like those in La Paz, they all lost their homes due to the super typhoon. Their church building and parsonage have also been devastated.

4 (640x480)Please pray for this congregation of the Lord, especially as they reach out and share the gospel to non-believers in their severely affected neighborhood.

About Glem Melo

I am a believer and follower of Christ, happily married, and have 3 wonderful kids. I am the founder and CEO of Open Eyes Mission, under the care of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA) Chicago Metro Presbytery, pastoral intern at Faith Church in Dyer, Indiana, and studying Master of Divinity at Mid-America Reformed Seminary. The Bible teaches that God is real, man is sinful, hell is real, and Jesus is our only hope of salvation. I believe these truths with all of my heart, and I hope to help others learn of them as well. "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16) May God give you grace and peace.
